Hi there,

I received my radio yesterday, many thanks.

Can I use the radio with WSPR? I am assuming it can be done with an appropriate interface?

Thanks,

Bob,
M0BOB.

Hi Bob,

We've got an interface unit on the way. I might be able to get you a beta unit if you want to test it. Should be ready in a few weeks. The basic unit is a passive breakout, providing a standard 8 pin mic jack with a place to make any sort of connection and the speaker signal goes to a 3.5mm jack to connect a standard speaker. Optionally you can add a USB sound/serial interface that will work with digital apps on the PC and key the TX using RTS on the serial port. It's transformer coupled for the audio an optically coupled for PTT.

I'll let you know when it's ready. I sould have 5 or so in the first batch.

73,
Jim WA2EUJ

Many thanks Jim, that would be good. 73, Bob.

PS. I am receiving WSPR on 40m with the IQ32 at the moment.

FYI: I have used WSPR with the IQ32 and my own interface - it works great.

That's good to hear. Will you be selling the interface?

Keep an eye on the forum, I'll be needing beta testers in the next few weeks. We'll also try and get a feel for demand and decide whether to make it a product.

Jim.
