The IQ32 has a connector labelled AMP.
Does this connect to the ACC or PTT on the HR-50?
Is it a TRS or TRRS connector?
What are the desired connections between the IQ32 and the HR-50?
Thank You
Forest

Hi Forest,

Complete information on how to interface the RS-HFIQ, IQ32, IQ64 and PI SDR IQ+ can be found on this page:

https://sites.google.com/site/rshfiqtransceiver/home/hardrock-50-amp

This information:

Power Amp connection – 3.5mm, TRS, Tip – Band Data, Ring – PTT, Sleeve – Ground, 70VDC max, 50 mA max.

is located on the IQ32 page here:

https://sites.google.com/site/rshfiqtransceiver/home/iq-32-sdr-transceiver

We actually have an interface kit available that has everything you need to connect the RS-HFIQ or IQ32 to the Hardrock-50 amplifier. It's free for the cost of shipping.

Good news for Hardrock-500 owners: the HR500 has a 3.5mm jack, just plug the radio and amp together and go.

Thanks for the info Jim.

I don't see a place to order the interface kit for the IQ to the HR as you mentioned.

Hi Forest,

Yes, our E-commerce software doesn't like us to make products available for free and given the nature of the internet setting the price to $0.00 could cause a problem. If you own a RS-HFIQ based radio and a Hardrock-50 amp and you want the interface kit, send an email to Curtis (at) HobbyPCB (dot) com, and he will send you instructions on how to get one.

For future purchasers, if you already have an amp or RS-HFIQ and you are ordering the other piece or you are ordering both together, request the interface kit when you place the order then you can get it completely free since we can put one in the box.
